Need a Notary Public or a Commissioner for Oaths and Affidavits?

No need to take time off work, or time out of your busy day. No need to drive and find parking or pay for a cab or bus fare to get to some high priced office on somebody else’ terms.

Notary On Wheels is a mobile service (only) based in Kanata and serving Ottawa, Westboro, Nepean, Britannia, Bells Corners, Stittsville, Carp and their surrounding areas. I can meet you at your work, home, local restaurant, coffee shop, etc.

Flat rates are $53.10 (+ tax = $60.00) for the visit and first document and $8.85 ( + tax = $10.00) for each additional document (or copies) on the same visit at the same location.

Call for service and pricing in areas further East and South. There will be an extra distance charge of at least $8.85(+tax) for areas East of the Rideau River, rural areas further South/West as well as any downtown and hospital visits (due to parking fees).

You can fill out the forms (please do) but documents to be notarized must be signed in my presence. I will not notarize any documents already signed.

What you’ll need:

Your documents (of course). Photocopies must be accompanied by originals. Also, please read the descriptions at the links above for any special requirements on certain document types (travel letters for example). Documents that need extensive corrections, are incomplete, or need to be redrafted are subject to drafting fees.

Identification: You will need to have two government issued (Federal or Provincial) pieces of identification. The first must be a photo ID with your address (Health Cards do not qualify). Used together with the second piece of ID, I basically need to see your photo, your address, your signature and your date of birth to establish your identity.

Examples of acceptable ID include, Provincial Driver’s License, Passports, Permanent Resident Card, Citizenship Card, First Nations Card, Age of Majority Cards (e.g. the Ontario Photo Card), Health Card (as a second piece of ID only), Government Employee Photo Cards, etc.

Payment: Cash (exact amount appreciated), Debit Cards, Visa and Mastercard are accepted. More about prices.
